INGY was founded in 1984 in an effort to bring together a diverse group of individuals interested in growth and yield modeling in the Inland Northwest of the US.  The participants of this cooperative come from industry, states/provinces, tribal councils, private consulting firms, federal agencies, and universities. Together these specialists and analysts have been able to identify and solve complex mensurational problems that would NOT have been possible if working by themselves. By combining scarce resources (data, manpower, and money) this cooperative has accomplished much!
