The Riparian and Wetland Research Program (RWRP) is based in the College of
Forestry and Conservation at the University of Montana. The mission of
the RWRP is to:
- Conduct quality research on the ecology and hydrology of riparian areas
and wetlands in Montana and throughout the Rocky Mountain region;
- Provide research opportunity for graduate students interested in the science
and/or management of riparian areas and wetlands;
- Make research findings available via publications, workshops, and symposia
presentations;
- Help land managers make better informed decisions about riparian and wetland
areas;
- Contribute to the public education about riparian and wetland issues and
participate in the public dialogue on these matters.
The RWRP is currently being reorganized to reflect recent staff
changes. Please check back often for updates on the status of the program. For
